Future effects of generative AI on the relationships in society between companies, governments, and citizens

Oost NL Women in AI Circle is set to launch in October!

At the Women in AI Circle on October 8, 2024, Sanne Janssen and Lilian de Jong will explore how the future of Generative AI (GenAI) can take different paths depending on the decisions we make today. Sanne and Lilian designed a workshop to raise awareness among women working in or with AI about the potential long-term implications of GenAI, both positive and negative. We will engage in discussions about the possible impacts of different future scenarios, particularly how these might affect the dynamics between citizens, the government, and companies. The goal is to encourage reflection on how GenAI could shape societal structures and to consider the ethical choices involved in guiding its development. Through this, Sanne and Lilian aim to inspire attendees to think critically about the future they want to help create and to recognize that the role we give GenAI is in our hands.
