WAI Finance Manager
We are looking for detail-oriented and number-loving Finance Manager. The volunteer is responsible for creating and sending invoices and tracking receipts. You will report to the WAI Finance Lead. This position is perfect for candidates who are at university and want to gain work experience while empowering women in the field of AI.
Who we are
Women in AI (WAI) is a nonprofit do-tank working towards inclusive AI that benefits global society. We are a community-driven initiative bringing empowerment, knowledge, and active collaboration via education, research, events, and blogging. At Women in AI, we empower women and minorities to become AI & Data experts, innovators, and leaders. We encourage ethical applications and responsible use of artificial intelligence. The WAI NL chapter was founded in 2018 and is one of the most active WAI chapters globally with over 7.5K followers and 1.5K members. The WAI NL team comprises of 55 volunteers who want to support our mission to make AI inclusive. Our team runs 4 programs and over 35 events a year.
About how we work
The WAI NL team meets twice a month in the evenings after work (once online and once in person) to collaborate and develop programs and content for our WAI community. Volunteers dedicate approximately 3-5 hours per week related to their role and responsibilities.
About the role
- Create invoices for partners
- Send reminders for payment to partners to ensure cashflow
- Review reimbursements by WAI team for approval
- Manage day to day cashflow for events and programs
Who you are
- You are fluent in English
- Dutch is a plus
- You are knowledgeable about accounting practices
- You love numbers and creating budgets and spreadsheets
