Women in AI inspires women everywhere to see themselves as changemakers in the world of artificial intelligence by creating a space for emerging voices to be heard. Today, we’re thrilled to introduce Estefania Hernandez, an accomplished entrepreneur, AI innovator, and advocate for equitable workplaces.
Author: Bianca Dybala.
Estefania’s first major entrepreneurial venture, Mi Dulce Hogar, was a cleaning services marketplace that did much more than provide cleaning support – it provided opportunity.
Through Mi Dulce Hogar, Estefania created a formalized, supportive working environment for domestic workers in Mexico, equipping them with essential skills training in English and computer literacy. Through efforts to uplift and empower these women, the company even supported these women in completing their education and bettering themselves through it.
Her dedication to the growth and well-being of her employees turned Mi Dulce Hogar into a celebrated social impact initiative, one that elevated domestic workers and empowered them to pursue brighter futures.
After stepping down from Mi Dulce Hogar, Estefania set her sights on a new challenge in a new country across the pond in Europe. Upon moving to the Netherlands, she co-founded Everyday, a company that harnesses the power of artificial intelligence to transform workforce planning for businesses. Inspired by conversations with over 150 industry leaders and team members, Estefania and her team built an AI model trained with a comprehensive dataset of over 14,000 skills.
Everyday’s renowned AI-driven platform is designed to assess and align the skill sets of employees with an organization’s evolving needs. In turn this ensures that companies can proactively plan for growth and innovation. As can be assumed, this fills a huge gap in the market as the link between needs being met and skills being acquired to do so.
Estefania’s vision goes far beyond just aligning skills with business goals—she seeks to build a world where career advancement is accessible to anyone with the talent and willingness to grow, regardless of traditional hierarchies or titles.
With Everyday, Estefania aims to address a critical challenge in today’s workforce, namely the bias and resource constraints often embedded in traditional talent planning. Thanks to her AI-driven approach, departments have been able to save time, money, and resources, helping more people along the way in turn too.
By providing data-driven insights that indicate potential advancements and trajectories, businesses can better plan to better grow and succeed. In short, this allows companies to break down current pools of people into who is best suited for roles based on real capabilities rather than superficial markers.
By eliminating bias, Estefania and her team empower both companies and their employees to reach their fullest potential. Seeing the opportunity in AI, Estefania quotes that “with the help of AI, we are making an impact on the way decisions are made within companies,” which ideally would be the mindset for all businesses to have in order to grow and adapt.
She further explains that as of “now, the skills, capabilities, and willingness to grow of individuals has more power than titles” and this in turn allows them to exploit their full potential without bias as better placement happens within organizations.
This mission not only benefits businesses by streamlining talent management but also fosters inclusive environments where diverse talents are valued and utilized to their fullest.
"With the help of AI, we are making an impact on the way decisions are made within companies,”
Estefania’s dedication to empowering others extends beyond her ventures. She is an active mentor with organizations like Chany Ventures, where she advocates for female founders throughout Latin America. By supporting other women entrepreneurs, she contributes to a growing network of female-led businesses in the region, creating a ripple effect of opportunity and inspiration for others to follow.
Her role as a mentor exemplifies her belief in the potential of women in STEM and entrepreneurship. She encourages aspiring founders to see AI and technology as tools to achieve transformative change, whether by starting their own ventures or contributing to organizations in meaningful ways.
Estefania Hernandez’s story exemplifies the profound impact women can have in AI when they combine technical knowledge with a passion for social progress. Her work at Everyday highlights how AI can be used to break down barriers and create a more equitable future for workers everywhere.
As a nominee in our Women in AI awards, Estefania’s journey is a beacon of inspiration. She exemplifies how dedication to both technological innovation and social justice can create lasting change. We hope her story inspires other women and girls to enter STEM fields, knowing that they too can make a difference on a global scale.
At Women in AI, we believe that stories like Estefania’s are essential. They remind us that AI and technology are not only fields of progress but also avenues to reshape the world in ways that benefit everyone. We are proud to celebrate Estefania Hernandez’s achievements and look forward to seeing how she continues to impact the future of AI for the better.
