Diversity in AI fields
It is important to work towards an inclusive AI that benefits our society. Our non-profit, do-tank is committed to bringing empowerment, knowledge and active collaboration around AI into the world. We do this through education, research, events, and blogging. At Women in AI (WAI) we empower women and minorities to become AI & Data experts, innovators and leaders. We encourage ethical applications and responsible use of artificial intelligence.
An Active AI Community
WAI Benelux is proud to reach over 7.5K women and minorities in the Benelux Region. We pride ourselves on actively inspiring, connecting, and educating women and minorities through our events and programs to make AI diverse and equitable for all.
Connect and Share at Circles
We organise regular meet-ups across the Benelux region to showcase and connect the ai-mazing work of the women in our community. Each Circle welcomes celebrated women in AI to present mini-lectures, panels, and presentations. Ready to get inspired and meet like-minded people? Find a meet-up close to you.
The Women in AI Gala
Each year we organise the Women in AI Gala. This is a must-attend event for those who are passionate about technology. It is a place to meet like-minded professionals from various industries and engage in thought-provoking discussions. At the WAI Gala, the Award winners will be announced which honors women innovators in AI. And for the 2025 Awards, we are expanding to the Benelux!

Meet the 2025 Award nominees
The last couple of months we were in search of Benelux-based women innovators in the AI field that need to be put in the spotlight. And you all send in your nominations for the 2025 Awards. At the WAI Awards we will distribute 6 awards to accomplished women in AI in the Benelux. Each category has their own requirements and the nominees are now presented.
Our programs
Mentorship
With our Mentorship program we bring ambitious and curious women together with experienced and inspiring mentors. This way they can share their valuable guidance, support, and feedback for learning and growing.
Accelerate
Are you an aspiring women entrepreneur at a very early stage of starting your business? Or are you looking for a co-founder? With our WAI Accelerate program we can help you to create and kickoff your AI startup.
Activate
Our Youth Activate program helps to inspire young girls to pursue a career in AI. We organize workshops and offer schools a free cource to activate their interest into getting educated in the STEM-related field.
Educate
With the Educate program we provide professionals, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts with valuable insights into real-world AI applications. This helps to empower attendees to integrate AI effectively into their careers and projects.
